Tracey Moffats artwork is part of a series of 26 other images in which the artist has used colour print on canvas. In this series, Moffat focuses on those athletes who came fourth at the 2000 Olympic games in an attempt to highlight the perverted glamor of 'almost being a star'; through photography. Moffat has also used research, to capture the acute moment when the athlete finishes the races and looks to see their final result. In doing so, Moffat depicts the expressions of athletes (a set look - which is an awful, beautiful, knowing mask) to suggest that its simply beautiful to try and not necessarily win.
